IWC has been producing Pilot’s Watches in accordance with military specifications since 1940. Featuring an original pocket watch movement and large second hand, the original models delivered the precision required of a chronometer and satisfied the special requirements that applied to navigation or deck watches.

The model offered in our competition is IWC’s flagship: the Big Pilot’s Watch with the classical, instrument-inspired look of the cockpit. Its IWC-manufactured 51111 calibre is one of the largest automatic movements in the world. Within no time at all, it builds up a power reserve of seven days.
